Based on the bestselling novel by Andreas Gruber: A woman's body is discovered in Munich’s Frauenkirche, suffocated with ink – a macabre reference to the "bad boys" from Struwwelpeter. Detective Sabine Nemez takes over the investigation, but similarities to cases in Leipzig and Cologne bring the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) into the picture. There, the unconventional yet brilliant criminal profiler Maarten S. Sneijder takes charge of the murder series. Although initially reluctant, Sneijder recognizes Nemez’s talent and allows her to continue working on the case. The unlikely duo’s trail eventually leads them to Vienna. It soon becomes clear that a sinister game lies behind the murders, with each crime accompanied by a mysterious clue.
