Prague, the City of Hundred Spires, lies at the heart of Europe. The magic of the Czech capital is born from an unusual confluence of historical relevance, striking architecture, alchemy and the Iron Curtain.
The largest palace complex in existence, Prague Castle, rises above the Vltava River. It has been a significant centre of political power for more than a thousand years, a place in which kings and emperors reigned, empires took form, ideologies held sway and nations were born. No other European castle has so consistently exerted power throughout the ages.
