Land der Berge: Aufstieg zum Kaiser - Der Koasakraxler und der Stanglwirt

Three protagonists are woven into a remarkable success story: mountain guide Andy Schonner, who grew up among the gorges and rock faces of the “Koasa” and turned his passion into a profession; innkeeper Balthasar Hauser, a pioneer, organic visionary, and innovator, who transformed his parents’ modest inn into a luxury wellness empire; and the Wilder Kaiser itself, the iconic mountain range of the Tyrolean Alps, whose majestic appearance is reflected in the lives of these two men.

Rugged cliffs and gentle alpine meadows mirror the challenges of life, the times of rest and waiting, and the importance of perfect timing. Into this diverse landscape of the “Koasa”—its key passages, rock faces, and pastures, its wildness and gentleness, its permanence and constant change—are woven the stories of the mountain guide and the innkeeper alike. Through their narratives, the film portrays extraordinary lives shaped by an extraordinary environment.
