For Manfred Corrine’s “Universum” two-part documentary LAND DER BERGE – 9 LÄNDER, 9 GIPFEL, alpine legend Peter Habeler accompanied prominent Austrians to the highest peaks in each of Austria’s nine federal states. In roles quite different from their usual ones, Federal President Heinz Fischer, Elisabeth Orth, Sabine Haag, Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner, Angelika Kirchschlager, Sabine Ladstätter, Kilian Fischhuber, Karl Gabl, and Willi Resetarits talk about their personal “mountain addiction” or “longing for the mountains” and demonstrate just how exciting and diverse the mountain experience can be.
In addition, “Universum” followed mountaineers Angelika Haspl and Gerfried Göschl as they attempted to climb the highest peaks in all nine federal states within nine days.
