Heimatleuchten: Die Traun und ihre Traumseen

This time, Heimatleuchten travels to the Salzkammergut, a picturesque world in the heart of Austria. The film takes us on a journey full of contrasts through a fascinating region of lakes, springs, streams, and waterfalls. It follows the young Traun as it rushes swiftly and untamed through gorges and plunges over rocky cliffs, forcing its way through narrow passages, rapids, and river barriers before cascading across rugged terrain. Along the way, we dive into tranquil lakes such as Grundlsee, Lake Altaussee, Lake Hallstatt, and Lake Traunsee, before continuing downstream to the roaring Traun Falls.
But we also tell the stories of the people who live and have lived along the Traun. For generations, they have shaped the diverse and unique river that is at the heart of their lives.
