Das Geheimnis Mona Lisa

Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa is the most famous painting in the world. It hangs in the Louvre—everyone knows that. Its actual name in art history is La Gioconda, as reported by Giorgio Vasari, the chronicler of the Renaissance, in his writings.
