Alte Namen, neuer Anspruch - Das Erbe der Grünen Mark

Tradition comes with responsibility — but it can also be a driving force for innovation. The 25-minute ORF documentary “Alte Namen, Neuer Anspruch”, produced by ORF Styria, explores how formerly aristocratic families are shaping the future of Styria’s forests with foresight, modern expertise, and a deep sense of responsibility. Through striking images, personal insights, and engaging on-site visits, the documentary tells the story of a lesser-known side of Styria: family businesses that preserve their traditions while simultaneously forging new paths. The documentary demonstrates that sustainable practices are far more than a passing trend — they are a mindset that has been part of life in Styria for generations.
