Trost and Rath marks the first gripping case for the unconventional Graz detective Armin Trost and his colleague Annette Rath. The mysterious death of a folk musician keeps the Graz police on edge—just as Trost has once again been suspended for his unorthodox investigative methods.
With his unconventional approach to police work, Armin Trost regularly drives both his superiors and his pretentious colleague Reinhard Hinterher to despair—and himself into suspension. He has just been relieved of duty once again after interfering in a hostage situation when a musician is murdered, of all places during an event honoring Moritz Montblanc, the star of Styria’s folk music scene. Detective Annette Rath is tasked with handling the investigation with the utmost sensitivity. But will it help that Trost launches his own covert inquiry? When a second artist dies under mysterious circumstances and is found carrying a sinister message, the question arises whether dark forces are at work. Is the devil himself dancing through Graz?
