Although Baja California borders the most famous coastline in the world, very little is known about the Mexican peninsula. The nearly thousand-kilometre-long strip of land between the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez is largely uninhabited, yet filled with breathtaking landscapes and biological wonders.
