Margarethe Ottillinger is a young yet highly successful economics expert who works dedicatedly for the redevelopment of Austria after World War II.

As she gets arrested by the Soviet Army in 1948 a seven year long peroid of suffering in Stalin’s Gulag detention camp starts. The young woman got in too deep in the affairs of the intelligence agencies in post-war Vienna.

This event-documentary tells the adventurous story of a strong woman in the post-war era and lends her face to an important part of Austrian history: the beginning of the Cold War as the country was in the center of the history of the world, while two opposing forces grew strong and the Iron Curtain came upon Europe.
